Clos du Mont-Olivet Lirac 2019 is an expressive French red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley, produced by the respected Clos du Mont-Olivet estate. Crafted from a traditional blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, this wine reflects the richness and distinctive character of the Lirac appellation.
The 2019 vintage showcases concentrated dark fruit flavours complemented by ripe cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, liquorice and aromatic Mediterranean herbs. Its generous body and well-integrated tannins are balanced by freshness, creating a structured and harmonious wine with impressive depth and a persistent finish.
The grapes are sourced from multiple vineyard parcels featuring sandy soils and red silica, with scattered stones in selected plots. Traditional vinification in concrete tanks and careful maturation in large oak casks, concrete tanks, steel tanks and a small proportion of older barrels preserve the wine's fruit expression while adding complexity and texture.
The 750ml glass bottle is an excellent choice for fine dining, dinner parties, premium wine collections and special occasions, particularly alongside rich, savoury cuisine.
