Coup de Foudre Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a powerful yet refined Napa Valley red wine showcasing the richness, concentration and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon from California.

The 2023 vintage is composed of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, with fruit sourced exclusively from vineyards in Calistoga. The blend combines the deep black-fruit character of Cabernet Sauvignon with the additional structure and colour of Petit Verdot and the aromatic lift of Cabernet Franc.

The wine displays a deep, opaque ruby colour and an expressive nose of ripe cherry, blackberry, dark plum and mulberry, complemented by cocoa powder, coffee, dark chocolate and subtle savoury herbal notes.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated without feeling excessively heavy. Rich dark fruit is balanced by fresh acidity and substantial yet well-integrated tannins. French oak contributes subtle layers of spice and cocoa while allowing the fruit to remain at the centre of the wine.

Aged for 18 months in 60% new and 40% neutral French oak, the wine combines generous Napa Valley fruit with polished oak integration.

Full-bodied and concentrated with rich blackberry, boysenberry, dark plum and cassis flavours. Vibrant acidity maintains freshness while firm, grainy yet polished tannins provide structure and length.

Finish:

Long, powerful and savoury with lingering dark fruit, cocoa, coffee, dried herbs and mineral nuances.
