CVNE Vina Real Reserva Rioja 2019 750ml

CVNE Viña Real Reserva Rioja 2019 is an elegant and structured Rioja Reserva produced primarily from grapes grown in Rioja Alavesa, particularly around Laguardia and Elciego. Made predominantly from Tempranillo with smaller proportions of Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano, the wine reflects the distinctive character of the region through its combination of ripe fruit, spice, oak complexity and balanced tannins.
The grapes come from vineyards more than 30 years old, planted in predominantly calcareous clay soils. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in new and one-use French and American oak barrels, developing additional layers of spice, balsamic character and roasted notes.
The 750ml bottle is well suited to dinner tables, restaurants, celebrations and occasions where a mature and expressive Rioja is desired.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep garnet with a clean and bright appearance.

Nose:
Intense and complex aromas of forest fruits and ripe berries combine with liquorice, clove, black pepper and balsamic notes. Subtle roasted coffee and oak-derived aromas add further depth and complexity.

Palate:
Concentrated yet elegant, with ripe fruit flavours supported by round, approachable tannins. Spiced and balsamic nuances complement the fruit, while balanced acidity provides freshness and structure.

Finish:
Long and pleasant, with lingering fruity, spicy and subtly roasted notes. The wine has a persistent finish and good potential for further development in bottle.
