Dictador 1972 Apasionado 700ml

Dictador Best of 1972 Apasionado is an exceptionally mature Colombian vintage rum created from some of the finest barrels produced by Dictador in 1972.

After approximately 45 years of maturation, the rum develops a deep and complex profile marked by vanilla, coffee, caramel, roasted notes, fruit and spice. Its Port-cask finishing adds additional depth and fruit-driven richness, while Dictador's use of reduced sugar cane juice, or panela, contributes to the expression's concentrated sweetness and dark caramel character.

Produced as a highly limited release, the expression features handwritten and signed labels from Master Blender Hernán Parra, emphasizing its collectible character.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep dark amber with rich caramel and mahogany highlights.

Nose: Complex and expressive, with vanilla, ripe fruit, coffee and warming spices, followed by roasted aromas and subtle oak.

Palate: Rich and concentrated, showing caramelized vanilla, roasted coffee, dried and ripe fruit, citrus and herbal notes. A gentle sweetness from the panela adds depth without overwhelming the spirit.

Finish: Long and complex, with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, citrus and oak spice lingering on the palate.
