Domaine des Croix Beaune 1er Cru “Les Bressandes” 2023 is an elegant red Burgundy crafted by winemaker David Croix in the renowned Côte de Beaune. From a prized Premier Cru vineyard on the northern slopes of Beaune, the wine reflects an east-facing site at approximately 250–300 metres above sea level. The stony, clay-rich soils with iron oxides contribute mineral complexity and structure. Made from Pinot Noir, the 2023 vintage balances fresh red and dark fruit with floral aromas, refined tannins, and a lively mineral character. Its combination of concentration, freshness, and fine texture makes it an excellent expression of Beaune’s Premier Cru terroir, with the structure to develop further in bottle. 

Tasting Notes:

Colour:
Bright ruby red with youthful purple highlights.

Nose:
Aromatic notes of red cherry, raspberry, wild berries, and crushed strawberry, complemented by violet, peony, subtle spice, and hints of orange zest.

Palate:
Medium-bodied with concentrated fruit, lively acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a mineral, stony character. The texture is polished yet structured, with a fresh and savoury balance.

Finish:
Long and refined, with lingering red and dark berries, floral nuances, gentle spice, and a clean mineral finish.
