The Domaine du Bel Air Bourgueil "Jour de Soif" 2024 is a vibrant 100% Cabernet Franc from the historic Bourgueil AOC in the Loire Valley. Produced by Domaine du Bel Air, one of Bourgueil's oldest family estates with winemaking roots dating back to the late 19th century, this cuvée is crafted as a fresh, fruit-forward expression of Cabernet Franc. The name "Jour de Soif", meaning "Day of Thirst", reflects its approachable, lively character and exceptional drinkability while remaining true to the estate's terroir-driven philosophy.
The 2024 vintage is sourced from younger vines planted on gravel, sand, and clay-limestone soils surrounding the village of Benais. The vineyards are farmed using certified organic and biodynamic practices, encouraging healthy vines and authentic terroir expression. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel tanks, followed by a short maturation period to preserve the wine's bright fruit, floral aromatics, and silky texture. The result is a beautifully fresh and expressive Loire Cabernet Franc, ideal for everyday enjoyment.

Nose:
Fresh aromas of raspberry, red cherry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, violet, crushed herbs, graphite, and a subtle hint of white pepper.
Palate:
Light to medium-bodied with juicy flavours of red berries, black cherry, cranberry, and plum. Fine, supple tannins are balanced by lively acidity and delicate mineral notes, creating a fresh, elegant, and highly approachable style.
Finish:
Clean, vibrant, and refreshing with lingering red fruits, floral notes, gentle spice, and mineral freshness.
