The Domaine Dureuil-Janthial Rully Blanc 2023 is an elegant expression of Chardonnay from one of the most highly respected estates in the Côte Chalonnaise. Under the direction of Vincent Dureuil, Domaine Dureuil-Janthial has earned an outstanding reputation for producing some of Burgundy's finest white wines, renowned for their precision, purity, and exceptional vineyard expression. The estate follows sustainable vineyard practices with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in wines that beautifully reflect the unique terroir of Rully.

The 2023 vintage is produced from carefully selected estate vineyards planted on classic limestone and clay soils, which contribute remarkable freshness, tension, and minerality. The grapes are harvested by hand before undergoing gentle whole-cluster pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels, with only a modest proportion of new oak, followed by several months in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and balance. The result is a Chardonnay of remarkable elegance, vibrant fruit, and outstanding ageing potential.

Colour:
Bright pale gold with brilliant green reflections.

Nose:
Fresh aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, pear, acacia blossom, citrus blossom, hazelnut, wet stone, and subtle hints of vanilla and toasted brioche.

Palate:
Medium-bodied with vibrant flavours of ripe citrus, orchard fruits, white peach, pear, and lemon curd layered with chalky minerality and delicate oak spice. Crisp acidity and a creamy texture provide superb balance, energy, and finesse.

Finish:
Long, elegant, and mineral-driven with lingering citrus, white flowers, toasted almond, and saline freshness.
