The Domaine Trénel Mâcon-Villages Blanc 2023 is a classic expression of Burgundy Chardonnay, produced by Maison Trénel, one of the Mâconnais' most historic wine houses, founded in 1928. Today, Trénel is renowned for crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines that faithfully express the character of Southern Burgundy through careful vineyard selection and meticulous winemaking.

The 2023 vintage is sourced from selected vineyards across the Mâcon-Villages AOC, where Jurassic limestone and clay soils provide the ideal environment for Chardonnay. Benefiting from the warm 2023 growing season, the grapes achieved excellent ripeness while retaining vibrant acidity. Following hand and machine harvesting, the fruit undergoes gentle pneumatic pressing before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on its fine lees in stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit profile, purity, and mineral character.

Bright pale gold with delicate green reflections.

Nose:
Fresh aromas of white peach, ripe pear, lemon zest, green apple, acacia blossom, citrus flowers, and subtle mineral notes.

Palate:
Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, offering flavours of crisp apple, pear, white peach, lemon, and grapefruit. Bright acidity is complemented by a gentle roundness from lees ageing, finishing with elegant limestone minerality and freshness.

Finish:
Clean, refreshing, and persistent with lingering citrus, orchard fruits, and a delicate mineral finish.
