Domaine Vincent Pinard Sancerre "Vendanges Entières" 2022 is an exceptional single-vineyard red wine from the prestigious Sancerre appellation in France's Loire Valley. Produced entirely from Pinot Noir, this flagship cuvée showcases the depth, concentration and remarkable ageing potential of the estate's finest red wine.
The grapes originate from the La Pèlerine lieu-dit, a small 35-are vineyard planted with approximately 35-year-old vines. The vineyard features clay-limestone soils over a limestone subsoil, contributing to the wine's mineral character, freshness and structural complexity.
The estate follows a meticulous approach to viticulture, emphasizing low yields, careful grape selection and environmentally conscious vineyard management. Harvesting is carried out manually, with whole bunches carefully selected to ensure optimal ripeness and quality. Production is limited to approximately 25 hectolitres per hectare.
The defining characteristic of Vendanges Entières is its whole-cluster winemaking technique. The grapes are fermented without destemming in truncated-conical wooden vats, allowing the stems and berries to contribute additional aromatic complexity, structure and depth. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts, with gentle pumping over to preserve the purity of the fruit.
The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in four traditional oak barrels, with no new oak used for the 2022 vintage. It is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving its natural character and full expression of terroir.
The 2022 vintage offers an impressive combination of ripe dark fruit, floral nuances, earthy complexity and refined tannins. Its concentrated palate, remarkable depth and powerful yet balanced structure make it a serious Sancerre Pinot Noir with excellent potential for further bottle ageing.

Colour:
Deep ruby red with dark garnet reflections.

Nose:
Rich and harmonious with aromas of raspberry, blackberry, blueberry and ripe cherry preserves, complemented by dried flowers, warm ash, earthy undertones, fresh tobacco and subtle menthol nuances.

Palate:
Full-bodied, ample and textured, revealing concentrated flavours of red plum, black cherry, blueberry and ripe dark fruit. Notes of black pepper, tobacco, leather and spice add complexity. Firm yet refined tannins provide structure, while vibrant acidity maintains freshness and balance.

Finish:
Long, powerful and persistent with lingering dark fruit, dried floral notes, earthy minerality and subtle spice.
