Sourced from the Branella vineyard, a historic two-hectare parcel acquired by the Pepe family in 1981, this wine showcases the character and complexity of old-vine Montepulciano.
The 2020 vintage marks the first separate release of the estate's two historic vineyard expressions, Branella and Casa Pepe. The Branella site features varied geological conditions, including blue clay marl in its upper section and sandy soils through its central area. These differences contribute to the wine's distinctive freshness, structure and mineral expression.
Produced according to the estate's traditional, low-intervention philosophy, the wine reflects the family's dedication to preserving the natural character and ageing potential of Montepulciano.
