Fèlsina Berardenga Chianti Classico 2022 is a classic expression of Sangiovese from Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southeastern part of the Chianti Classico appellation in Tuscany. The estate's vineyards sit on ventilated slopes at approximately 320–420 metres above sea level, with diverse soils including calcareous alberese, quartz-rich sandstone and alluvial components.
Made from 100% Sangiovese, Berardenga is one of Fèlsina's cornerstone wines and has been produced since its first vintage in 1967. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel for approximately 12–15 days, followed by around 12 months of maturation in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels, with a small proportion in used oak barriques. The wine then receives at least three months of bottle ageing before release.
The 2022 vintage shows the traditional Fèlsina character of vibrant acidity, fine tannins and expressive fruit, with wild berries, cherry and savoury spice. Wine Enthusiast rated the 2022 vintage 91 points, describing black cherry, pomegranate, fresh fig, blackberry, dark chocolate and earthy nuances.

Colour: Bright ruby red with good depth and intensity.
Nose: Elegant aromas of wild berries and cherry, accompanied by floral, earthy and savoury spice notes.
Palate: Dry and medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity, fresh berry fruit and firm yet polished tannins. Subtle earthy and dark chocolate nuances add depth.
Finish: Persistent and savoury, with lingering fruit, spice and gentle liquorice notes.
