Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2023 is a premium New Zealand Pinot Noir from Bannockburn in Central Otago, crafted from fruit grown across Felton Road's four Bannockburn vineyards. The 2023 vintage presents a vibrant and youthful expression of Pinot Noir, combining red fruit, floral, herbal and savoury characteristics with fresh acidity and fine tannins.

The wine is made using indigenous yeast fermentation, with 20% whole clusters and 13 months of ageing in French oak, including 25% new barrels. It was neither fined nor filtered, helping preserve the wine's natural texture and site expression.

Tasting Notes

Colour:

Bright ruby red with youthful depth and clarity.

Nose:

Highly aromatic with dark roses, violets, raspberry, cherry and blackberry, accompanied by subtle herbal, floral, spice and savoury notes.

Palate:

Dry, vibrant and youthful with flavours of raspberry, cherry, cranberry and other red fruits. Bright acidity provides freshness, while firm yet supple tannins add structure. Subtle herbal and savoury characteristics contribute additional complexity.

Finish:

Long, fresh and savoury with lingering red fruit, floral, herbal and spice notes supported by fine tannins and lively acidity.
