Garbole Heletto Rosso Veneto IGP 2013 750ml

Garbole Heletto Rosso Veneto IGP 2013 is an exceptional handcrafted red wine from the boutique Garbole estate in the hills of Tregnago, east of Verona. Produced outside the constraints of traditional appellation regulations, Heletto reflects Garbole's philosophy of complete creative freedom, allowing the winery to craft wines without compromise. The name "Heletto" represents a bold new direction for Veneto wines, combining traditional Amarone techniques with a contemporary expression of elegance, structure, and individuality.

Crafted primarily from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, complemented by selected local grape varieties, the grapes are hand-harvested over several weeks to ensure optimum ripeness. After harvest, the fruit undergoes a 20–30 day partial appassimento (natural drying) in small wooden crates to concentrate flavour and aroma. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before the wine is matured for 36 months in new oak barrels and at least 12 months in bottle prior to release. The outstanding 2013 vintage delivers remarkable concentration, finesse, and ageing potential while maintaining freshness and balance.

Colour:
Deep, intense ruby red with garnet reflections.

Nose:
Complex aromas of cherry jam, ripe plum, almond, balsamic herbs, fresh mint, vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, and liquorice with subtle spice.

Palate:
Full-bodied, powerful, and beautifully balanced with layers of ripe black cherry, plum, blackberry, cocoa, espresso, sweet spices, and mineral notes. Silky tannins and lively acidity provide elegance and remarkable persistence.

Finish:
Long, rich, and harmonious with lingering notes of dark fruit, chocolate, liquorice, balsamic herbs, and refined oak spice.
