Giacomo Montresor Cantina Privata del Fondatore Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019 is a prestigious Amarone dedicated to the founder of the historic Casa Vinicola Antonio Montresor, established in 1892 in Verona. Created as a tribute to Giacomo Montresor, this limited selection reflects the winery's heritage and traditional interpretation of Amarone, combining power, elegance, and remarkable ageing potential. The grapes are sourced from the hillside vineyards of Valpolicella, where ideal climatic conditions and traditional viticulture produce wines of exceptional character and complexity.

Produced from 60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, and 20% Rondinella, the grapes are carefully hand-selected during September and October before undergoing the traditional appassimento process, drying naturally in small crates for approximately three months. Following gentle pressing and extended skin maceration, the wine is aged for three years in 55-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks, followed by further bottle refinement before release. This traditional maturation preserves the purity of fruit while developing exceptional depth, elegance, and complexity.
