Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2018 is one of Italy’s most legendary and collectible wines, crafted by the iconic Quintarelli estate in the hills of Valpolicella Classico. Revered worldwide for its extraordinary craftsmanship, traditional methods, and remarkable ageing potential, Quintarelli Amarone is often regarded as the benchmark expression of Amarone della Valpolicella.

Produced from carefully selected indigenous grapes including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Croatina, and Sangiovese, the grapes undergo an extended appassimento drying process for several months to naturally concentrate sugars, acidity, and flavour complexity. Fermentation occurs slowly over extended periods, followed by exceptionally long ageing in large Slavonian oak casks.

The 2018 vintage in Veneto is celebrated for its elegance, freshness, and balance, producing Amarone wines with refined structure and aromatic precision rather than excessive weight. Quintarelli’s 2018 release combines immense concentration with extraordinary finesse, offering layers of dried fruit, spice, earth, and savory complexity while maintaining remarkable freshness and energy.

This is a profound, cellar-worthy Amarone that continues to evolve for decades, representing the pinnacle of traditional Veneto winemaking.
