The The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Fresh Coconut 700ml is the sixth and concluding release in The Macallan Harmony Collection, a limited annual series exploring the relationship between whisky, nature, craftsmanship and innovative packaging. This distinctive expression brings forward a flavour profile rarely associated with The Macallan, focusing on the character of fresh coconut, citrus and tropical fruits.
Bottled at 46.3% ABV, the whisky combines vibrant tropical fruit character with layers of coconut, vanilla, sweet oak and gentle spice. The palate develops into creamy coconut milk, zesty lime and soft sweetness before leading to a bright and floral finish.
The distinctive coconut character is achieved through careful cask selection. The Macallan's Whisky Mastery Team selected sherry seasoned American oak casks with naturally high levels of oak lactones, which can contribute coconut aromas and flavours. These characteristics are further refined through the influence of bourbon casks.
The final release also continues The Harmony Collection's focus on sustainability. Its presentation box incorporates discarded coconut fibres, giving coconut waste a second life as part of the packaging.
