He travels to find casks to perfect his blend in addition to his Chichibu single malt.
This is World Blended Whisky. Non Chill-filtered, Non Coloured. 

This particular gem is made with both malt and grain whisky from Japan as well as (possibly) some whisky from other countries too - the label describes it as "a worldwide blended whisky".
