J. Denuzière Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2022 is a classic Northern Rhône Syrah crafted by the historic Maison J. Denuzière, a family-owned winery established in 1876 in Condrieu. Produced exclusively from 100% Syrah, this elegant red wine showcases the diversity of Crozes-Hermitage's stony and rocky terroirs, delivering exceptional freshness, silky tannins, and vibrant fruit expression. The 2022 vintage benefited from a warm, dry growing season followed by timely August rainfall, allowing the grapes to achieve excellent ripeness while maintaining remarkable balance and finesse.

Hand-harvested grapes undergo a gentle three-week fermentation in stainless steel and truncated wooden vats with delicate extraction to preserve fruit purity and create refined tannins. Malolactic fermentation takes place in both stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels before the wine is aged on fine lees for 8 to 12 months, adding depth, texture, and complexity. The result is an expressive Crozes-Hermitage with ripe black fruits, peppery spice, floral nuances, and elegant mineral freshness, making it an excellent introduction to premium Northern Rhône Syrah.

Medium to full-bodied with layers of blackberries, ripe plum, black cherry, and cassis, complemented by notes of cracked black pepper, liquorice, herbs, and delicate oak. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity provide freshness, elegance, and excellent balance.

Finish:
Long, smooth, and persistent with lingering black fruits, peppery spice, floral notes, and refined mineral freshness.
