J. Denuzière Saint-Joseph Rouge 2020 is a refined Northern Rhône Syrah produced by the historic Maison J. Denuzière, a family-owned estate founded in 1876 in Condrieu. Crafted exclusively from 100% Syrah, this elegant Saint-Joseph showcases grapes grown on the appellation's steep granite terraces, where south and south-east facing slopes produce wines of remarkable concentration, freshness, and mineral character.

The outstanding 2020 vintage benefited from warm, dry conditions that delivered exceptional ripeness while preserving the freshness that defines great Saint-Joseph. Hand-harvested grapes undergo whole-bunch fermentation with gentle foot treading and light pump-overs before ageing for 12 months on fine lees, with approximately 30% matured in one- to three-year-old French oak barrels. The result is an expressive Syrah offering layers of cassis, black cherry, violets, cracked pepper, and granite minerality, supported by silky tannins and remarkable elegance. Ready to enjoy now, it also has the structure to evolve beautifully over the next 8–10 years.

Expressive aromas of cassis, black cherry, blackberry, violet, cracked black pepper, liquorice, olive tapenade, smoked herbs, and subtle granite minerality.

Medium to full-bodied with concentrated flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry, complemented by notes of black pepper, liquorice, graphite, and delicate oak. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity create outstanding balance, freshness, and finesse.

Long, elegant, and mineral-driven with lingering black fruits, peppery spice, floral nuances, and refined granite notes.
