The Jade Gross Chiguita 2025 is a boutique Rioja DOCa white wine crafted by Australian-born winemaker Jade Gross in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alavesa. Named after the affectionate nickname "Chiguita" ("little girl"), this wine reflects Jade's innovative approach to Rioja, combining traditional indigenous white grape varieties with modern, minimal-intervention winemaking. Produced in extremely limited quantities, it has become the flagship white wine of the estate and a benchmark for contemporary Rioja Blanco.

The 2025 vintage is a carefully assembled blend of Viura, Tempranillo Blanco, Garnacha Blanca, and Malvasía, with each variety harvested separately at optimum ripeness from selected high-altitude vineyards around Labastida, Rivas de Tereso, and the Alto Najerilla Valley. After gentle pressing, the components are fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels and flextanks, followed by six months of ageing on fine lees. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving exceptional freshness while the lees ageing contributes texture and complexity. Only 2,980 individually numbered bottles were produced, making this a highly sought-after artisan Rioja white.
