Jean Fournier Marsannay Trois Terres Vieilles Vignes 2023 is a profound and age-worthy Pinot Noir crafted from three of Domaine Jean Fournier’s finest old-vine parcels in Marsannay: Les Longeroies, Es Chezots, and Clos du Roy. Produced from vines planted between 1935 and 1953, this cuvée represents the pinnacle of the estate’s village-level expression, combining concentration, minerality, structure, and refined Burgundian elegance.
Domaine Jean Fournier, led by Laurent Fournier, is one of Marsannay’s benchmark producers, renowned for organic viticulture, whole-cluster fermentation, and terroir-focused winemaking. The 2023 vintage showcases remarkable balance between ripe fruit intensity and vibrant freshness, with two-thirds whole-bunch fermentation and extended ageing in demi-muids adding complexity, texture, and depth.
The name “Trois Terres” (“Three Lands”) reflects the blend of the three distinct terroirs: the powerful structure of Longeroies, the electric energy of Es Chezots, and the austere mineral backbone of Clos du Roy. The result is a serious and layered Marsannay with outstanding ageing potential.
