Levantine Hill Levant Pinot Noir 2024 750ml

Levantine Hill Levant Pinot Noir 2024 is an elegant yet structured cool-climate Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, the wine combines vibrant red and dark fruit with savoury spice, earthy complexity and fine tannins.

The grapes were hand-picked and hand-sorted before being mostly de-stemmed and fermented in open fermenters. Approximately 15% of the fermenters received added stalks, contributing additional structure and aromatic complexity. The individual parcels were fermented separately before being matured briefly in 100% French oak foudres and puncheons. The final wine is an assemblage of thirteen separate fermentations.

Tasting Notes

Colour:

Bright, semi-translucent red with darker-toned edges and a light red hue.

Nose:

Fragrant aromas of black cherry, red cherry, summer pudding and tangerine are complemented by cassia bark, shortcake, white chocolate and subtle steely notes.

Palate:

Juicy and expressive, with red cherry, plum and rhubarb flavours supported by savoury bramble, spice and subtle earthy notes. Firm, refined tannins and fresh acidity provide structure and balance.

Finish:

Fresh, polished and persistent, with lingering cherry, rhubarb, spice and savoury notes.
