The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition 700ml is an annual limited-edition release from The Macallan's Classic Cut series, created to explore distinctive flavour profiles and showcase the influence of exceptional oak casks.
The 2023 Edition is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks, creating a bright and expressive character centred around fresh pear, almond biscotti and vanilla.
Bottled at 50.3% ABV, the 2023 edition is designed to be enjoyed both at full strength and with a small amount of water. The Macallan describes this as "one cut" of water: at 50.3%, fresh pear is prominent, while reducing the strength to around 40% brings out more pronounced almond biscotti notes.
