Mario Schiopetto Collio Pinot Grigio DOC 2022 is a benchmark expression of 100% Pinot Grigio from one of Friuli-Venezia Giulia's most prestigious wineries. Founded by the legendary Mario Schiopetto, the estate is credited with revolutionising modern Italian white winemaking through meticulous vineyard management, temperature-controlled fermentation, and a philosophy centred on purity, precision, and terroir. Sourced from the marl-rich hills of Collio DOC, this wine beautifully expresses the elegance, freshness, and mineral character that have made the region world-renowned for premium white wines.

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand during the second and third weeks of August before undergoing gentle whole-cluster pressing and a short period of settling without the addition of sulphur dioxide. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using a pied de cuve (native yeast starter), followed by 8 months of ageing on the fine lees and a minimum of 5 months of bottle ageing. This meticulous process preserves aromatic purity while enhancing texture, complexity, and remarkable ageing potential.
