Marqués de Murrieta Dalmau Rioja Reserva 2020 750ml is the most expressive and contemporary wine in the Marqués de Murrieta portfolio, produced from the exceptional Pago Canajas single vineyard within the historic Finca Ygay estate in Rioja Alta. The vineyard covers approximately 9 hectares, sits at 465 metres above sea level, and was planted in 1950.
The 2020 vintage is made from a carefully selected blend of 82% Tempranillo, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Graciano. The grapes are harvested by hand and each variety is fermented separately in large Allier French oak vats before being blended and matured.
The wine undergoes 17 months of ageing in Allier French oak barrels followed by 13 months in concrete vats before bottling in May 2023. This extended maturation helps integrate the concentrated fruit, oak and tannins while preserving the wine's freshness and structure.
The result is a powerful yet refined Rioja with concentrated dark fruit, polished tannins and layers of spice, oak and mineral character.

Deep, intense ruby-red with youthful garnet reflections.
Nose:
Powerful and expressive, with ripe dark berries, blueberry and red plum alongside cedar, spice, balsamic and subtle roasted notes.
Palate:
Full-bodied and concentrated with juicy dark fruit, refined tannins and excellent structure. Layers of blackberry, plum, spice, cocoa and mineral character develop throughout the palate.
inish:
Long, persistent and elegant, with lingering dark fruit, balsamic, cedar and subtle spice.
