Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Rioja 2022 750ml is the flagship Rioja Reserva from Marqués de Murrieta, showcasing the elegance, consistency and character of the historic Finca Ygay estate in Rioja Alta. The wine is made from a traditional blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Graciano and Garnacha.
The grapes are sourced predominantly from the winery's 300-hectare Finca Ygay estate, where the vineyards sit at approximately 320–485 metres above sea level on mainly clay-limestone soils. The 2022 vintage was manually harvested between 7 and 23 September 2022.
Each grape variety is fermented separately before being blended and aged for 25 months in 225-litre American oak barrels, giving the wine additional structure and complexity while maintaining its generous fruit character.
The 2022 vintage displays a polished combination of ripe red fruit, liquorice and chocolate liqueur, with a balanced, fleshy palate, firm tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Nose:
Expressive aromas of ripe red fruit and liquorice, complemented by delicate notes of chocolate liqueur and subtle oak spice.
Palate:
Balanced, fleshy and rounded, with ripe red fruit supported by integrated acidity and firm yet polished tannins. Layers of liquorice, chocolate and spice add depth and complexity.
Finish:
Long and persistent, with lingering ripe fruit, liquorice, chocolate and subtle spice.
