Vins Pepe Raventos Mas del Serral 2012 750ml

Mas del Serral 2012 is a refined and distinctive sparkling wine from Pepe Raventós, produced from Xarel·lo and Bastard Negre grapes co-planted in the historic Clos del Serral vineyard in Conca del Riu Anoia. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically and the vines were planted in 1954, contributing to the wine's distinctive character and sense of place.
The 2012 vintage followed a relatively dry growing season with significant temperature contrasts. The harvest was healthy, naturally concentrated and balanced. The wine was manually harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts before spending time in tank and undergoing an extended period of ageing on its lees.
With approximately 100 months of lees ageing, Mas del Serral 2012 develops remarkable depth and complexity while maintaining freshness, mineral precision and a distinctly saline character. Fine bubbles, citrus, dried herbs and subtle brioche notes create an elegant and layered sparkling wine suitable for fine dining and special occasions.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Bright golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles.

Nose:
Complex and expressive with citrus zest, dried grasses, wildflowers, fennel, subtle anise, brioche and delicate mineral notes.

Palate:
Dry, precise and mineral-driven with vibrant acidity, citrus, green apple, saline minerality and subtle malt biscuit and toasted notes. Fine carbonation provides texture and freshness, while extended lees ageing contributes depth and complexity.

Finish:
Long, focused and distinctly saline, with lingering citrus, mineral, herbal and lightly toasted notes.
