The Masi Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2021 750ml is a distinguished Amarone from Masi Agricola, one of the leading producers of Valpolicella in Italy's Veneto region.
Costasera is produced from grapes grown in the historic Valpolicella Classico area and made using the traditional appassimento method. Selected grapes are naturally dried for several months, concentrating their sugars, aromas and flavours before fermentation. This technique gives Amarone its characteristic richness, intensity and dried-fruit character.
The wine is crafted primarily from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, creating a rich yet balanced expression with intense cherry and dark-fruit flavours. Oak ageing adds further layers of vanilla, chocolate and spice while helping to integrate the wine's structure.
The 2021 vintage offers an attractive combination of ripe fruit, concentration and freshness. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with refined tannins and balanced acidity supporting its generous fruit profile.

Colour:
Deep ruby red with intense garnet reflections.
Nose:
Rich and expressive with aromas of Amarena cherry, ripe black cherry, plum and dried berries, layered with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet spice and subtle balsamic notes.
Palate:
Full-bodied and velvety with concentrated flavours of Amarena cherry, black plum, dried fruit and dark chocolate. Fine tannins provide structure, while balanced acidity brings freshness and harmony. Notes of vanilla, coffee and sweet spice add complexity.
Finish:
Long, warm and persistent with lingering dark cherry, dried fruit, chocolate, spice and subtle balsamic nuances.
