Massolino Barolo Parussi 2015 is an exceptional single-vineyard Barolo crafted exclusively from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the prestigious Parussi cru of Castiglione Falletto. Produced by the historic Massolino estate, founded in 1896, this iconic wine represents a distinctive expression within the winery's portfolio. Unlike Massolino's renowned Serralunga d'Alba crus, Parussi is celebrated for its elegant aromatics, refined tannins, and remarkable balance, while still offering the structure and longevity for which the estate is internationally recognised.

The outstanding 2015 vintage is regarded as one of Barolo's finest in recent decades, delivering exceptional ripeness, concentration, and harmony. Vinified using traditional long maceration and matured for approximately 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks, the wine beautifully expresses the unique sandy and calcareous soils of Parussi. Rich layers of red fruit, floral perfume, spice, tobacco, and mineral complexity combine with polished tannins and vibrant acidity, creating a Barolo that is approachable with careful decanting while possessing outstanding ageing potential.

Colour:
Deep garnet red with brilliant ruby reflections.

Nose:
Intense aromas of rose petals, wild cherry, raspberry, sweet spices, sandalwood, tobacco, leather, orange peel, and delicate earthy nuances.

Palate:
Full-bodied with concentrated flavours of ripe cherry, red currant, raspberry, liquorice, cinnamon, dried herbs, and crushed stone, supported by vibrant acidity, firm yet beautifully integrated tannins, and exceptional mineral depth. Powerful, elegant, and remarkably balanced.

Finish:
Exceptionally long and persistent with lingering red fruits, tobacco, spice, floral notes, and savoury mineral complexity.
