The Jade Gross Moon Rocket 2024 Red Magnum is an exceptionally rare Rioja DOCa red wine presented in a 1.5L Magnum, crafted by Australian-born winemaker Jade Gross in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alavesa. Produced as a special magnum-only release, Moon Rocket showcases Jade Gross's philosophy of producing small-batch, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention, highlighting the purity and elegance of Rioja's finest vineyards. Only 60 magnums were produced, making it one of the rarest wines in the Jade Gross portfolio.

The 2024 vintage is crafted predominantly from Tempranillo, sourced from carefully selected old-vine vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. Hand-harvested fruit is fermented with a combination of whole-bunch and destemmed grapes to preserve freshness while enhancing aromatic complexity. The wine is matured in French oak barrels before bottling in magnum format, allowing for slower evolution and outstanding ageing potential. The larger bottle format provides greater freshness, harmony, and complexity over time, making it an ideal choice for collectors and special celebrations.

Nose:
Expressive aromas of black cherry, blackberry, ripe raspberry, violet, dried herbs, sweet spice, cedar, and subtle mineral notes.

Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with concentrated flavours of black cherry, plum, blackberry, and wild raspberry, complemented by hints of cocoa, baking spice, and crushed stone minerality. Fine-grained tannins and lively acidity create a refined structure with exceptional balance and elegance.

Finish:
Long, complex, and persistent with lingering dark fruits, savoury spice, floral notes, and refined oak integration.
