The Jade Gross Moon Rocket 2025 White Magnum is an ultra-limited Rioja DOCa white wine presented exclusively in a 1.5L Magnum format. Crafted by Australian-born winemaker Jade Gross in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, this rare cuvée showcases the estate's commitment to terroir-driven, small-batch winemaking. Produced only in magnum, Moon Rocket White is designed for exceptional ageing, with the larger format allowing the wine to evolve slowly while preserving freshness, complexity, and precision. Only 150 magnums were produced worldwide, making it one of the rarest white wines in the Jade Gross collection.
The 2025 vintage is a carefully composed blend of Viura, Garnacha Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco, and Malvasía, with each variety sourced from premium high-altitude vineyards across Rioja. The Tempranillo Blanco from the Alto Najerilla Valley contributes vibrant fruit and freshness, Malvasía from Rivas de Tereso adds crisp acidity, while Viura and Garnacha Blanca from the limestone-clay soils of Labastida provide richness, texture, honeyed notes, and mineral depth. Each variety was hand-harvested in 18kg crates, gently whole-bunch pressed, cold settled, and fermented separately in 500-litre French oak barrels with varying toast levels. The wine was then matured for 6 months in barrel before bottling.
