Muga Rioja Reserva 2021 (1.5L Magnum) is a benchmark Spanish red in large-format, crafted by the prestigious Bodegas Muga. Produced using traditional Rioja methods—fermentation in oak vats and extended barrel ageing—this wine delivers a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, and structure.
Made from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano, it is aged for approximately 24 months in French and American oak, followed by further bottle maturation. The 2021 vintage is highly acclaimed, recognised for its freshness, concentration, and classic Rioja elegance, with strong critic scores around the 92–94 point range.
