A tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky, Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a harmonious blend of malts from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. This expression combines sherry cask influence with a delicate balance of peat, fruit, and floral notes, offering extraordinary freshness and depth.

On the nose, you’ll find citrus, coconut, chocolate, and a subtle saltiness, gradually opening to vanilla and fresh-cut grass. The palate is rich and layered, with lemon tart, apple, pear, and lilac resting on a foundation of gently smoky peat. The finish is long and elegant, with honey, cinnamon, chestnut, and soft milk chocolate lingering beautifully.

Launched to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Masataka and Rita Taketsuru’s marriage, this whisky embodies Nikka’s legacy of craftsmanship and passion. Best enjoyed neat or slowly diluted over an ice ball.
