Oddero Barolo “Villero” 2021 is a single-vineyard Barolo from one of Castiglione Falletto’s most prestigious crus, crafted by the historic Poderi e Cantine Oddero estate. Villero is known for producing Barolo with exceptional structure, aromatic intensity, and long ageing potential, and in the 2021 vintage it delivers a particularly precise and powerful expression of Nebbiolo.

The 2021 growing season in Barolo is widely regarded as outstanding, producing wines with remarkable balance between ripeness, freshness, and tannin refinement. In Villero, this translates into a wine of depth and clarity, combining floral elegance with a firm, architectural backbone.

Vinification follows Oddero’s traditional philosophy: spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with long maceration, followed by extended ageing in large Slavonian oak casks (botti grandi). This preserves varietal purity while allowing structure and complexity to develop slowly over time. The result is a serious, cellar-worthy Barolo with both intensity and finesse.
