The Old Pulteney 30 Years Single Malt Whisky 700ml is an exceptionally rare Prestige Collection release created to commemorate Old Pulteney's 200th anniversary in 2026. Distilled and matured in Wick on Scotland's remote northern coast, this whisky reflects the distinctive maritime character that has defined Old Pulteney since 1826.

Limited to just 1,000 bottles worldwide, the 30 Years Old is one of the oldest and rarest official releases from the distillery. It has spent three decades maturing in carefully selected casks, allowing time to develop layers of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, sweet oak, caramel and warming spice while retaining Old Pulteney's characteristic coastal influence.

The whisky is initially matured in American oak casks before being refined in European oak, with the casks personally hand-filled by Distillery Manager Malcolm Waring. This combination of maturation contributes both sweet, rounded fruit character and deeper oak complexity.

Bottled at a substantial 50.4% ABV, the whisky is presented in an elegant clear crystal decanter featuring rose-gold detailing and etched ocean waves. The decanter is housed in a bespoke outer casing inspired by weathered driftwood, making the presentation as distinctive as the whisky itself.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep burnished copper with rich amber-gold reflections.

Nose:
Rich and complex with aromas of sugared almonds, sweet oak, pear, green apple and citrus, developing into notes of toffee, apricot, subtle floral character and gentle maritime minerality.

Palate:
Full-bodied and vibrant with bright pear and citrus leading into salted caramel, baked apple and polished oak. Warm cinnamon and nutmeg add spice, while the coastal character brings a refined savoury and saline dimension.

Finish:
Exceptionally long and elegant with a lasting balance of sweet oak, salted caramel, ripe fruit, warming spice and delicate coastal salinity.
