Olivier Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 2022 is a benchmark white Burgundy crafted from 100% Chardonnay sourced from more than twenty carefully selected vineyard parcels across the prestigious Puligny-Montrachet appellation. Produced by the renowned Maison Olivier Leflaive, one of Burgundy's leading specialists in Chardonnay, this village-level wine beautifully captures the elegance, precision, and mineral character that have made Puligny-Montrachet one of the world's most celebrated white wine villages. The vineyards are planted on classic limestone and clay soils, producing wines of remarkable purity, finesse, and longevity.
The outstanding 2022 vintage enjoyed abundant sunshine and healthy fruit, resulting in exceptional concentration while preserving freshness and balance. The grapes are 100% hand-harvested and fermented with both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels before ageing for 18 months, including 6 months in stainless steel, with 20% new French oak. This careful élevage creates a beautifully layered Chardonnay with aromas of white flowers, citrus, ripe orchard fruits, toasted almonds, and flinty minerality. Rich yet remarkably precise, Olivier Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 2022 is approachable today while possessing excellent ageing potential.
