Pahlmeyer Merlot 2022 is a luxurious Napa Valley red wine showcasing the depth, concentration and elegance of high-elevation Merlot.

The 2022 vintage is composed of 98% Merlot and 2% Malbec, with fruit sourced from five high-elevation vineyard sites: Waters Ranch, Stagecoach, Antica, Broken Rock and Silverado Bench.

The wine opens with expressive aromas of brambly blackberry, macerated black cherry and wild raspberry, layered with crushed peppercorn, fresh sage and subtle forest-floor character.

On the palate, rich dark plum and fresh fig are wrapped in plush, velvety tannins. Savoury notes of tobacco leaf, cocoa nib and earth emerge with time, adding depth and complexity.

Aged for 18 months in 82% new French oak, the wine combines concentrated dark fruit with polished oak, spice and chocolate nuances. The result is a powerful yet balanced Merlot with natural freshness and an exceptionally long finish.
