Pasqua Lui Cabernet Sauvignon IGT 2018 750ml

Pasqua Lui Cabernet Sauvignon IGT 2018 is a rich and expressive Italian red wine from Veneto, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon with Corvina. The wine combines concentrated dark-fruit character with a distinctive oak influence, resulting in a full-bodied and complex expression with a soft, velvety texture.

A portion of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes is partially dried before fermentation, helping develop additional concentration and richness. The wine undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by maceration on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels from Hennessy, contributing layers of vanilla, coconut, dried fruit and subtle smoky character.

The 750ml bottle is well suited to hearty meals, premium dining, dinner parties, celebrations and occasions where a powerful and distinctive Italian red wine is desired.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep ruby red with rich, dark reflections.

Nose:
Complex and aromatic with dark fruit, vanilla, dried fruit, almond, sweet spice, herbal nuances and subtle notes of rum, hay and lightly toasted oak.

Palate:
Rich, fleshy and full-bodied with layers of dark fruit. Soft, velvety tannins provide a smooth mouthfeel, while oak ageing contributes flavours of vanilla, coconut and dried fruit.

Finish:
Very long and persistent with lingering coconut, vanilla, dried fruit and delicate smoky notes.
