Discover Patrick Javillier Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2024, an exceptional white Burgundy from one of the Côte de Beaune's prestigious Grand Cru appellations. Produced by Domaine Patrick Javillier, this distinguished Chardonnay showcases the remarkable concentration, elegance and mineral character associated with the celebrated Corton hill.

The wine comes from the domaine's small 0.17-hectare vineyard parcel in Les Pougets, situated on the Aloxe-Corton side of the hill. The south-facing vineyard features clay and limestone soils, with vines planted in 1984. Its limited production makes this an especially sought-after cuvée.

Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, the grapes are carefully hand-harvested, sorted and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is matured in one-year-old French oak barrels without new oak, allowing the vineyard's natural character to remain at the forefront. It receives an extended élevage, spending a second winter in wood before further maturation on fine lees.

The 2024 vintage reveals an expressive bouquet of yellow plum, white peach, jasmine and lemon curd, complemented by roasted almond, ginger and subtle smoky nuances. The palate is broad and concentrated, with vibrant acidity and a distinctive mineral backbone, leading to a long, dry and refined finish.

A remarkable Grand Cru Chardonnay that combines richness, precision and ageing potential.
