Poggio San Polo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019 is a refined expression of Tuscany's most prestigious appellation, crafted exclusively from 100% Sangiovese by San Polo, one of Montalcino's leading sustainable wineries and part of the renowned Allegrini Group. The wine is sourced from the estate's oldest vineyards, situated at approximately 450 metres above sea level on the southeastern slopes of Montalcino. Rich calcium-clay soils, excellent sun exposure, and cooling breezes create ideal conditions for producing Brunello with exceptional elegance, freshness, and ageing potential.

The highly acclaimed 2019 vintage benefited from a long growing season with balanced weather conditions that allowed the grapes to achieve outstanding phenolic ripeness while retaining vibrant acidity. The grapes were hand-harvested in small 17kg crates before careful berry selection and gentle crushing. Fermentation took place in concrete tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak casks. The wine was matured for 30 months in 1,000L, 2,000L and 4,000L oak casks, followed by at least 6 months of bottle ageing before release. The result is a Brunello that beautifully combines power, finesse, and remarkable longevity.
