Riecine di Riecine Vigna Palmina IGT 2021 is a distinctive Tuscan red wine crafted exclusively from Sangiovese grown in Riecine's historic Vigna Palmina vineyard in Gaiole in Chianti.

The wine comes from one of the estate's oldest vineyard sites, situated at approximately 450–500 metres above sea level on limestone and clay soils. The vineyard is organically managed and produces naturally concentrated fruit with the freshness and aromatic precision characteristic of high-altitude Sangiovese.

Unlike many traditional Tuscan reds, Riecine di Riecine is made without oak. The wine is fermented and aged entirely in unlined Nomblot concrete tanks, allowing the purity of the Sangiovese and the character of the vineyard to remain at the forefront.

The 2021 vintage combines vibrant red fruit with floral, earthy and savoury nuances. Fresh acidity and refined tannins provide structure, while the absence of wood gives the wine an exceptionally clear and natural expression.

Nose:

Expressive and refined, with aromas of red cherry, sour cherry and red berries accompanied by violet, wild herbs, subtle earthy notes and delicate spice.

Palate:

Fresh, elegant and beautifully structured. Red fruit flavours are supported by vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins. The wine has a pure, savoury character with excellent balance and a clean, energetic texture.

Finish:

Long and persistent, with lingering cherry, red berry, floral and savoury notes, followed by a fresh and elegant finish.
