Rosebank 31 Years Legacy Release 2 Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Rosebank 31 Years Old Legacy Release Two is a rare and highly collectible Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1991, just before the historic Rosebank Distillery was mothballed in 1993. Released in 2022 as the second expression in Rosebank's Legacy series, it draws from scarce pre-closure stocks that were carefully preserved for more than three decades.

Triple distilled in the traditional Rosebank style and matured in a combination of refill sherry butts and refill bourbon hogsheads, this 31 Year Old expression retains the light, vibrant, floral character associated with classic Rosebank while developing additional layers of citrus, orchard fruit, vanilla, herbs, spice, and oak.

Bottled at 48.1% ABV without chill filtration and with natural colouring, Legacy Release Two was limited to just 4,000 bottles worldwide, making it an important expression for collectors and enthusiasts of historic Lowland whisky.

Tasting Notes

Colour:

Ivory-gold with a delicate straw hue and a subtle amber glow.

Nose:

Bright and zesty, with lime, lemongrass, coriander seed, and clove alongside soft vanilla and sugar-coated almonds.

Palate:

Light yet vibrant and refined, revealing mint and chamomile with layers of leather, berries, banana bread, and gentle spice.

Finish:

Sweet and elegant, with ripe peach, soft oak, herbal notes, and a lingering touch of spice.
