San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2014 is an elegant expression of one of Tuscany's most prestigious appellations, crafted exclusively from 100% Sangiovese Grosso by the acclaimed Podere San Filippo estate in Montalcino. Situated on the eastern side of the appellation, the estate benefits from galestro, clay, and limestone-rich soils, producing Brunello with exceptional finesse, vibrant acidity, and remarkable ageing potential. San Filippo is renowned for combining meticulous vineyard management with traditional winemaking techniques, allowing the unique terroir of Montalcino to shine through in every vintage.

The challenging yet rewarding 2014 vintage demanded careful vineyard selection and precise winemaking. Cooler growing conditions and a later harvest produced wines with outstanding freshness, aromatic purity, and refined structure. The grapes were hand-harvested before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation with extended skin maceration to gently extract colour, flavour, and tannins. The wine was then matured for over 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks, followed by extended bottle ageing in accordance with Brunello di Montalcino DOCG regulations. The result is a beautifully balanced Brunello that emphasises elegance, complexity, and classic Sangiovese character.
