Schiopetto Friulano is one of the estate's signature expressions of Friulano, the historic indigenous white grape of the Collio Goriziano. The vineyards are planted on ventilated hillsides with predominantly marl soils of Eocene origin, giving the wine its distinctive combination of freshness, salinity and mineral character. The wine has been produced by Schiopetto since its first vintage in 1965.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine is then refined on its lees for approximately eight months, adding texture and complexity while preserving the purity and freshness of the Friulano grape.
The 2023 vintage shows a bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold reflections. Its aromatic profile combines ripe pear and apricot with delicate almond and wildflower notes. On the palate, it is dry, savoury and dynamic, balancing ripe fruit with refreshing acidity and a distinctive saline-mineral character.
