Teacher’s Highland Cream is a classic blended Scotch whisky known for its rich malt character and slightly higher-than-average malt content compared to many standard blends. First created in the 1860s, it has built a long-standing reputation for delivering a fuller-bodied and more robust style of blended whisky.
A key component of Teacher’s blend is its use of peated malt whisky from Ardmore, which gives it a subtle smoky backbone not commonly found in entry-level blends. This adds depth and structure while still maintaining smooth drinkability.
Balanced and approachable, Teacher’s is widely enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in whisky-based cocktails.
Tasting Notes
Colour:
Warm amber gold.
Nose:
Malt, honey, light smoke, caramel, dried fruit, and soft oak.
Palate:
Smooth and slightly creamy with flavours of malted barley, toffee, vanilla, gentle peat smoke, orchard fruit, and mild spice.
Finish:
Medium length with lingering malt sweetness, soft smoke, and light oak.
