Valenciso Rioja Reserva 10 Años Después Edición Limitada 2015 is a highly limited Rioja red wine made exclusively from 100% Tempranillo from selected vineyards in Rioja Alta. The wine is part of Valenciso's long-aged collection and was bottled approximately a decade after its vintage, allowing extended maturation to develop greater complexity, elegance and depth.

The wine is made and matured using a combination of concrete tanks and very fine-grained oak barrels. This approach preserves the freshness and fruit character of the Tempranillo while allowing the extended ageing process to build layers of spice, balsamic character and mature fruit. Only 6,083 bottles of the 750ml 2015 vintage were produced.

Tasting Notes

Colour:

Deep ruby-red with garnet reflections and an evolved appearance.

Nose:

Complex and refined with mature red and black fruit, balsamic aromas, fine spices, tobacco and subtle notes of noble wood.

Palate:

Elegant, fresh and beautifully developed, with concentrated mature fruit supported by lively acidity and refined tannins. The extended ageing gives the wine additional depth and savoury complexity while maintaining freshness.

Finish:

Long, silky and persistent, with lingering red and black fruit, balsamic, tobacco and delicate spice notes.
