Xavier Vignon Cuvee Anonyme Chateauneuf Du Pape 2016 750ml
Xavier Vignon Cuvée Anonyme Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016 is an exceptional expression of one of the Southern Rhône's most prestigious appellations. Created by renowned winemaker and consultant Xavier Vignon, this distinctive cuvée draws on old, mixed-variety vineyard plantings across Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The name "Cuvée Anonyme" reflects the character of its source vineyards, where several grape varieties grow together, making their individual proportions difficult to identify. The 2016 blend is predominantly Grenache, supported by Mourvèdre and smaller quantities of traditional varieties, delivering remarkable depth and complexity.
The outstanding 2016 vintage produced a concentrated yet balanced wine, combining ripe blackberry and red plum flavours with mocha, toast and exotic spice. Despite its powerful structure, it retains freshness, silky texture and an impressively long finish.
